Horkew Kamuy

Named after the Ainu god, Horkew Kamuy, the howling god.

In my personal works, I have posted a character art that is almost identical to this one. In truth, that is the case. I was never satisfied with that design and I finally got the time to sit down and rework her.

I’ve always been fascinated by Ainu culture, but especially towards mythologies across the world. Even though the design may seem nonsensical to some culturally educated viewers, I just find her beautiful to draw, and I love to keep studying like this.
